Got 10,000 to invest in a business...

Hello there

I got $10,000 to invest in a web site - I want someting not related to computers - maybe a horse classifides site, or something- something which will use an automatic system that I won't have to watch yet will be profitable and all I'll have to worry about it traffic - so what do you think any thoughts?

any original classifieds ideas?

Looking forward hearing from you.

Thanks

I believe this belongs in the other offers and request forums. However, I am interested it. I've been considering to open up a Home PC Repair Service in my area that removes malicious programs and spyware from computers. I'm planning to charge $50 for 2 hours of service and $15 an hr afterwards. I dunno if you would be interested in it, but it would be nice to use the money to buy the necessary things to setup and money to invest in newspaper acts. I'm afraid there is always a risk of losing in the investment, but there is a chance to get a return on it.what I could do is offer a 25% ROI for 1 year.

The second option is possibly investing in a local internet cafe with my friend. He took me about a month ago he was approved for the loan and we are looking to setup. I could talk to him about you investing your money into it.

I was about to put together an auto classified website - specifically a Ford Crown Vic classified site. There's a HUGE Crown Vic following (mostly because of the old police interceptors).

If you're interested in talking more, feel free to contact me using any of the contact methods in my profile

Well, how about using the money to advertise your community and get back returns from the momentum of the forum activity ads.

Yes, but it seems to be asking what to do with it and I offered my suggestions in investing in my computer related businesses I want to start up with my partner.

Usually when you invest in a business you state that its you yourself that is taking suggestions or investing money into another persons business. I can tell you this internet cafe will be interesting as it will be the first one in the Fort Worth area.

I would do something that you have a passion about...if you have a passion for horses, do that, if not, find something else.

Sorry if off topic. I LOVE LOVE LOVE horses.

I ride english and do show jumping. Funnest thing in the world to gallop over those huge fences... but a very expensive sport

It almost sounds like you just want a site that runs itself, like a popular news site with RSS Feeds that requires no maintenance and pulls in a few hundred a month? Wouldn't we all.

Finding and acquiring a quality web site with real profits is rare, and a significant challenge.

I think you'll find the majority just don't pan out after you do real due diligence which I'm afraid isn't done as much as it should be.

Unless you're going to build your own site from the ground up, or are prepared to wait for the right investment (patience) and do the proper due diligence, I'd recommend you just find a good investment that won't waste your time and makes your money work for you with a 10-15% return (think Real Estate, Tax Liens, etc).

Lonny, If you are lazy and just want to pull in a cash cow with little work I would suggest the adult market. If you are good at driving traffic then that would be a great niche for a 10k invest. You could also look into the gaming sportsbook market sometimes you can get away with a low investments, however you would need to work on that on a day to day basis.

Just some food for thoughts
