godaddy registra problems
Hi everyone,
I'm having one hell of a time with the godaddy registrar.
1) my registrar info ( name, address tel ... ) is not moving to the whois. or half assed moved.
2) nameserver services is not working at all.
for the past 48 hours, I've been on the phone with tech support and back office operation on why thier que of nameserver changes is taking so long.
I've yet to recieve any response. and as we all know you can not put any servers on line for clients untill that nameserver propigates or atleast a confirmation from the registrar.
I have no choice but to find another registrar to deal with.
I could really use the help finding one. I'm already looking over network solutions. if there are others in a high quality catagory, i could use those names.
Any help would be of great assistance.

same here!
I switched hosts for one of my domains yesterday (not the one in my profile). I told the old host to cancel my account effective Jan 19, to allow me some time to move, DNS to propagate, etc.
I recently transferred the affected domain name to GoDaddy with the previous nameservers intact. I'm trying to get it to accept the new hosts' nameservers. If I have a few days' downtime over the weekend, I won't mind, but I hope GoDaddy will update them soon.
I'll probably be on the phone with them by Friday

I've got 4 domains with godaddy. I've had no problems.
How long have you waited for the DNS to propagate?

I submitted the nameserver change request on Monday, Jan 14. In hindsight, I probably did this too soon after the registrar transfer.
The registrar transfer just finalized on Jan 12.
I logged into GoDaddy today and the previous nameserver info is finally showing up (three days ago, all it said was "use existing name servers"; the nameserver info wasn't actually listed there). It also had a note that nameserver changes were in process.
Tonight, I deleted the old host's nameservers and re-added the new host's.
I have three other domains with GoDaddy and am overall happy with the service. I recommend them to people all the time. This is the first time I've had to transfer registrars and update nameservers in such short succession. Luckily, the affected domain gets very little traffic so I'm not worried yet

I had a problem getting nameservers changed on a domain at Godaddy a couple of months ago. I logged in to the domain management , and changed the nameservers on the domain. It wouldn't propogate, so I called them and they said there is two places that you have to change it. I found the other screen to change it on as well, and it propogated quickly.

oh you'll this from godaddy
It seems that I must be the only person in the entire internet world that has developed a unique error with Godaddy.
Godaddy submits dns data to NSI. NSI has reported ( for the first time ever ) a special unknown error. therefor I'm stuck in some que in the middle of the internet.
Can it get worst.
Will Adehost have thier dns before sundown
tune in and find out ...

Tell me the name of one domain name registrar that is 99% faultless!
Haven't had any problems with godaddy to date but this week I have had:
1) stargatenic process authorisations agains my cc (which effectively denies me of the funds in my account) while refusing the transaction because I did not pass their "fraud prevention" whatever - thanks for tieing up my funds you jerks.
2) register.com - just can't get tech support from them and now because the IPs in my A records for two domains are WRONG the domains are no longer pointing to my server.
DNS is so important - and yet it just seems impossible to find a register that will take it as seriously as it should be!
