I was just compiling a list of data centres in India. This is what I came up to till date: (part of this list comes from this thread.
VSNL
Satyam
Net4India Colo or Net4India Managed
BSNL
MTNL this was the closest I could find 
DDSL is present but has been taken over by VSNL-TATA
Net Magic Solutions
Bharti
I could not find anything on Reliance Data Centres. If someone knows about other datacentres located in India, please add to this thread.

There arent many in India.
And most of them are very expensive for hosting with very limited Bandwidth

Agreed there isn't many data center's in India and most have high costs.

Indian hosting can be useful only if its project centric, to reduce hops. Otherwise for normal hosting business its too costly, but we cant blame them, its government policies.

This thread is way too old .... almost 6 years .... many options available provided you are ready to shell out for the bandwidth.
