Help! Computer problem..

For those computer experts out there, I have quite a situation for you. I've tried scouring the internet, but have had no success.

I have an Apple Powerbook G4 and I am trying to print to a networked printer that is attatched to a PC workstation. I can see the printer from my machine and print to it.

Only problem is when it prints...it says Remote Downlevel Document on the PC's spooling program (Start>>Settings>>Printers) Not sure what it is called

Do you folks know if this a virus on my MAC? Or what the deal is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got 6 gmail invites to reward those who can help if they wish.

Tell you what,
I'll trade you my pentium 4 laptop for your Powerbook.. just because I'm a nice guy .

But honestly, no idea. Try looking for apple specific forums on Google (Goooooooogle).

I tried using Sophos on my MAC and it didn't recognize any virus. Ran AVG by Grisoft on the PC and it found some...argh.

I'm assuming you have scanned for any viruses on the PC right?

I have indeed and I am just going to reformat the box and install Win2K on it. At this point, the virus won.

We'll see how it goes...

Have you increased the pool settings in the Printer configuration on the PC?

Go into the control panel on the PC and select Printers and right click on the printer and select properties and look around for spooling. It could be under the "Advance" tab.

Okay..now I reformatted the box. Updated everything and trying again. Still can't print from the Mac OS X machine. This is driving me insane? Is it the MAC or what's the deal?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
