hello
I need a good reliable (high uptime, good support) reseller. Looking for a reseller which will take care of the billing and give me good support since I really don't know much of webhosting related issues - good control panel would be nice.
most have
- unix
- perl 5
- subdomain support.
- average package 2 gb bandwith

My customers would be mostly non english speakers looking for cheap hosting.

if anyone knows of such company please let me know.

thanks

You are not going to find many (if any at all) that will take care of the billing. This is something you are going to have to resolve (in order for you to have your choice of hosts). You may also be more interested in an affiliate (or agent, referal, etc.) type program where you would refer clients for hosting and get a commision.

yes but like i said the customers would be none english speakers (turkish) so my support would still be needed.

I would also like to do things under my own name instead of just referring people to a host.

I have had a few offers already from (turkish)hosts wanting some kind of affiliate program but i am not interested in that at least not for the time being.

thanks

I don't know any who will do the billing, but I know quite a few who have the features you want.

I think you will have to bite the bullet and get a merchant account. It will make your business much more stable and profitable because they will be your customers.

Most companies wont do the billing for you. They will bill you and then you will bill your customers. This is a liability they don't want to deal with and it's costly. You can go to http://www.hostresearch.com or http://www.recellar.com and do a search there. They have a pretty good search engine for resellers. Good luck.

ok thanks for your replies...

I'd have to look into getting a merchant account .. don't really know much about it.

Any suggestions on where I should start looking for information .. I live in the netherlands so a worldwide acceptance is important.

thanks

To the guy from The Netherlands:

If you need a merchant account, you should get it on the United States. You can start a new LLC in Delaware (USA) for $300, Delaware bank account for $150 and then merchant account for around $800. I have been researching this for a long time and those prices are the best prices for LEGAL international e-commerce stuff. You need a serious and stable company for this because they will be your agents, fast email support is super-important, because you can't call every week from The Netherlands to Delaware (super long distance call).

By the way, if you are a reseller, you don't need
a merchant account, use instabill.com

Not so sure about this one Marie. I don't see resellers as anything different. They offer hosting plans and they need cc processing. If you were to do things right, you'd register your business just as you would if leased a dedicated server.

Actual hosts could use instabill as well, and the reason most don't, is the same reason a reseller wouldn't want want to.
