ssh Not working In my server


Hello ,

I can't do ssh command in my ssh root

I mean

ssh [ option ] Host
to enter another Host

when I do this command Nothing happend without error message

Can uyou help plz ??

try ssh -v user@host
and sent debug output

ssh -v root@Host IP
OpenSSH_3.5p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090701f
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug1: Applying options for *
debug1: Rhosts Authentication disabled, originating port will not be trusted.
debug1: ssh_connect: needpriv 0
debug1: Connecting to HostIP [Host IP] port 22.

and I wait for 5 mins and nothing happend

and more help ??

Can you ping this host?
Can you open ssh port via telnet:
telnet host 22

Could it be a firewall or router of some sort?

Yes I can Ping It

But the problem not with only one host,,,

I can't do this command with any host

when I try to telnet host 22

I get the same ( No thing happend ) Only Stay without anything

ssh -p22 anyhost ( can't do that )

I think That ,,,, I installed APF firwall

If that is the problem How I can solve ?

Add rule to permit connect from you host to any host 22 port.

Yes that is working Now

But sometimes the host port is rather than 22 ,, almost is rather than 22
