Interesting reading, I'll bet we will only see more and more of that kind of attacks.

Yes, but not at the corporate/enterprise level

So it looks like the whole thing about the FBI raiding Foonet/CIT was actually brought on by Paul.
Quote:
The Bureau raided Ashley's home on Valentine's day. Before they hauled away CIT/FooNet's servers -- an act that would briefly cause controversy in the hosting community -- Ashley allegedly admitted to the attacks, and named all three of his cyber button men and Echouafni.

It was pretty apparent to me that the FBI didn't sieze all servers because of actions by CIT's clients - I was assuming it had to do something with the new owner. It seemed a little odd that their new owner ( http://www.orbitsat.com/images/jrlrg.gif ) also started hiking prices above what a lot of clients and potential clients were willing to pay, but I guess greed takes over eventually.

Talking Don't drop the soap!

WOW!

I saw this on /. this morning.

I didn't know it had gone this far or that Paul was directly involved. The whole thing seems so pointless and just plain stupid. Foonet had (at one time) a great reputation and was considered, by far, the best in the market that it served.

I'm suprised. Paul was pretty infamous for things like this. He also had people attack his competitors.

I didn't know Emp was involved but I wasn't suprised Raine was. I remember that guy ddos'ed L3's website for 6 hours for no reason...

It's kind of funny Paul narked everyone out though.
