and tell me whats up with his about page .. he claims to be the biggest provider for game servers ...
that rack shows about 40 quad Xeons / Dual MP's (all 4u's)
That would give him approximately 2000-3000 customers .... is he telling the truth? a lot of these pics came off the DC website
1) What is the DC
2) Who is the backbone
3) How can a 1 man company be this successful
4) How can he afford to charge the price he does w/o overloading?
Isnt gamedaemons or griffinrun etc bigger?

I just don't undertsand - seems like he has about 70 Servers (quads etc) and lets say he hosts 25 servers on each box (1400 ) customer s- a more than generous estimate - and he makes 10 bucks on each customer ... he'd be makign 3-5 k a month ... WHY would you do GS hosting at such low prices?
Is he overloading...is he overselling? or simply not making that much cash

They have 3000 registered users on their forums, and a lot of posts there as well. There are also a lot of references to their company elsewhere online. In terms of Google pagerank, they seem to be on par with GriffinRun, but GameDaemons has a better rank.
1) Their DC is Cybercon in St. Louis.
2) Their backbone is Cybercon, who BGPs Qwest, MCI, Level3, ATT from what I can see.
3) You can't really know how successful he actually is.
4) I don't know.

Its just weird that a company that supposed successful has such a shoddy site - no suport/ helpdesk etc
also - It appears he makes all his $$ on support and installation - hrm

cybercon is a pretty big colo company. That guy is just colo'd at cybercon. Not sure how much bw he uses or how many servers he actually has.

He uses a lot of bandwidth and has a lot of servers, I have talked with the owner before. Nice guy!

Do a simple trace on his IP blocks.
They 'own' 762 IP addresses
Don't always believe everything you see... 
Check out the members list on the forums while your at it. Most have zero posts....

I am not sure of how many customers he puts on each server but he has a lot of servers (many, many, many racks) and he pushes a whole lot of bandwidth.
I really don't want to give out too much details as I don't have his permission but I was impressed!

Richard that was my problem with his site - he claims he's "the biggest" which is bull considering Jolt and IGS have about 30k combined - but other than that - his site is full of spelling errors - a complete lack of a support system - helpdesk - billing center etc

Yet it seems that he does have a ton of boxes but those boxes that he showed looked like old 4U duals that I used to have ... - he claims he has AMD MP clusters and QUAD xeons :-/ - just curious about how this all came to be - but he does have a hell of a lot of servers up - but 1/2 his test IP's don't work and its also a 1 man company it seems.
BTW his MRTG shows bursting up to 150-200 ... so he probably pushes 150 steady. 150mbps split between all those cabs don't make you that good
