Hello, i've been using ezzi.net for about 1 month and thought i'd give a review on them. I've cancelled all my servers with them because we're moving to a 20 mbps unmetered box from SM. Anyways here's some info:
Network: They have a great network. I've had 100% uptime since being with them. They have a lot of available bandwidth. One problem is that they hide behind their SLA a lot and if you use say 20 mbps for a few hours they'll disconnect you.
Support: It's pretty decent, although I did not use it much. I think it was exactly what I expected.
Price: Cheapest in the industry. They really do a good job considering their prices. Their servers are probably the most "valuable" out of all providers there are.
I would definetely reccomend Ezzi to anyone looking for cheap and decent box. Probably not mission critical but definetely a lot better than places like managed.com.

Why are you going to SM other than 20mbps?

He's consolidating multiple high bandwidth servers (3-4 of them) onto one 20Mbps box. Smart decision on his part, and SM will see the wrath of a customer who actually decides to use the entire 20Mbps allocated

I am not sure about that, although time will tell. SM/TP has done an incredible job of configuring the Cogent Unmetered side fo the network. I press anyone to try and find a single complaint from an unmetered customer... you likely won't.
I was not a Cogent fan. A good friend has a box on the unmetered side and I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and can say I was impressed, really impressed.
Of course, that could change over time, but I am pretty sure TP/SM's networking folks will really stay on the ball with this.

I've always said that Cogent in Texas was a very good POP in terms of peering, and I still stick by that .

Well what we're doing is cutting down on costs for one of our web sites. Currently we're spending around $600 per month on the servers. But, we're consolidating it to 1 box which will cut costs in half while still providing some good performance. We're going to use some of the extra money to work on a software for the site to filter out bad, high bandwidth things that just waste our time and money. This will speed things up and save money all in one. The other benifit is that we're with SM, a company we do 90% of our business with (The Planet). Anyways, ezzi has improved a lot, to the point where they could actually make a nice NYC game provider or serve some nice file servers.
