Anyone interested in sharing a co-located server?!

Well I dont know if this is the right forum and if its not please feel free to move it to the appropriate one.

Anyways, I am looking into getting a new Dell Server and co-locating it on a 10mbps line. I need at least two people interested in sharing it with me (up too three).

PowerEdge 1550
Pentium III 933MHz w/256K Cache
768MB SDRAM
18GB Ultra3, 1 IN, 10K RPM, SCSI Hard Drive
Windows 2000 Server

What you get:
-10Mbps busrt connection
-email
-other programs you want
-3GB space
-24/7 monitoring
-2 ip addresses
-php
-mysql
-cgi
etc etc etc

Costs:
Option 1-
Server $50 month
Bandwith $3 per GB (10 GB month MIN)
---
$80 month min (6 months upfront ($480))

----------------

Option 2-
Server $400 one time
Bandwith $3 per GB (10 GB month MIN)
---
$30 month min

Notice to Consumers
Thread Summary Please be aware that every offer has limits beyond what is displayed in the thread. You should visit the site advertising and read any Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy they have in place. If you can't find answers on how they measure what you're purchasing, ask. If the offer or request doesn't regard some type of hosting, you still need to research beyond what’s printed in the ad.
  • Research any provider to know what limits are in place, especially with any offer concerning disk space and/or bandwidth. These are generally defined in the TOS or AUP.
  • Read provider reviews. If you find no reviews, create a thread and ask for others' first-hand experience with the provider.
  • If you're unsure on the exact details of an offer - ask. Simply respond to this thread and ask the provider for clarification.

You should post ads and offer in the ads forum.

Don't worry, a mod will move it soon.

Josh,

I am trying to offer some constructive comments so kindly take it in that sense...

I think 80$/mo with 6 months prepaid is way too much for 3gb of space in the current market scenario - moreover, I dont think you are offering any control panel for reseller capabilities

Just my thoughts

Cheers

it's a Win2K server, there are not that many control panels available for win2000 servers, as far as i know...
