Hello. two of my friends and I are starting a videos tutorial site that trains a user in different areas of computer graphics, web design and programming. The 3 of us are trained in different programs and know different things such as programming languages or 3d modeling tools such as 3dsmax or maya.

We are looking for partners and sponcers to help us get a server. We are looking for a server that gives around the 80 gig mark and 1250 transfer or over. If you do decide to sponcer us we will advertise you on the site as much as possible and advertise you in your training videos.

Do you need 80gb of space? Im think we havea nice 40GB server with 1000GB of BW, 512MB ram, P4 2.4. 99$ a month, no setup.

yeah but the thing is - for us hosts to hand over something like that we would need forms of like a good plan about how you will:

- generate the cash lost from loaning a server to you as it will cost us money in resources and we do not gainrevenue for it?
- how will our name be attached, and to what?
etc etc

its not really helping us by just saying your doing a tutorial site, need a lot more information than that i am afarid

Thats atleast $99 per month of money that the provider is going to be loosing for nothing initially...

These people must realise that servers are xpensive as they obvisouly cant afford one themselves :/

A little shared space in return for advertising yes, but a whole server... I think youll be lucky to find that

yeah but still i dont think any form of advertising or marketing strategy from your idea up there will warrent anyone giving up a whole located server - its just not going to happen unless someone is really up to take the risk!

Just doesnt make sense to me - in the UK, giving out free BW as well, got to be mad!!

For me it would have to be a very little shared hosting, but i'd still need to see a detailed advertising plan.
