Downtime?

I want to transfer my domain name to GoDaddy. I use the name for my web hosting business and presumably will have to re-create the name server entries with GoDaddy once the transfer is complete. Are my customers looking at downtime?

You should not have any downtime during the transfer. I have done this multiple times without issue

The nameservers usually transfer over without a problem.

all nameservers registered under that domain get transferred to the new registrar and yes zero downtime is involved.

Hmmmm.... If he is using say Enom's dns servers ( not his own or hosts) and transfers to godaddy can he still use Enom's - I don't know TBH or if Enom would chop him off right away. So basically the answer depends on the DNS he is using and who the company is
