Setting up web site

I have my site done and I'm trying to load the site up w/ out the /phpnuke attatched to the url.
This is what it tell me to do when i'm ready to upload it.

"When you're ready to have your own website shown as the default page of your domain, simply replace this index.html file with yours. Should you be uploading an index.php files instead, please delete this file first. "

How do I do this in cpanel?? I found the index.html file for the flexihostings and the index.php file, but when i delete the index.html and put the index.php file where the html one was, i get this...

Warning: main(db/db.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/big/public_html/mainfile.php on line 87

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'db/db.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/big/public_html/mainfile.php on line 87

I Cant find the db/db.php anywhere. I found a db.php file, but it has to be db/db.php...if ya could help let me know

thx

what i would do is upload db.php to the same place you uploaded index.php and then alter index.php,

Find line 87, and it should say something like,

include(db/db.php);

change it to

include(db.php);

or if you want the easier option, make a folder on the server called db and upload db.php into that folder.

You don't have to do any of that. PHP Nuke is very easy to install. This is what you do:

Using an FTP program, delete index.html or index.htm (whatever it is called)

In control panel, install the database using MYSQL

You then need the SQL Installation file, which can be downloaded from any PHP Nuke resource site. Upload that file then go to it using your web browser. Follow the instructions

By now your tables should be installed correctly. Upload all of your PHP Nuke files, go to the index.php (which you can just go to your URL) and follow the directions to set up a master account.

Go to this link and click on INSTALLERS:

http://www.nukeresources.com/downloads-cat84.html

Install the one that matches your version. If you are not running a 7x version search the site for earlier ones.

Upload the file to your root directlry and then go to the install URL. Everything is in the directions.

Upload it to your server replacing the one you have on there now. Then go to www.yourdomain.com/nukesql.php and follow the instructions.

As long as you edited the config file to go to your database, upload it to the server w/ the other files. Then run that other PHP file.

In this section of the config file:

$dbhost='localhost';
$dbuname='big_nuke1';
$dbpass='rddJAGJEaz';
$dbname='big_nuke1';
$prefix = "nuke";
$user_prefix = "nuke";
$dbtype = "MySQL";
$sitekey = "SdFk*fa28367-dm56w69.3a2fDS+e9";
$gfx_chk = 0;
$subscription_url = "";

Change the options to fit a database you should have created already. If not, then go to your control panel and set up a database. Create the name, username, pass, etc. Then put them in the respective fields in the part I posted.

where is the nukesql.php file on your directory? Is it in its own folder? Or is it in the root?
