Hi Khaled:
Merchant account lets you accept online payments:
the easy and most straight forward merchant account to use is :
2checkout.com :
They do charge a setup fee of $49 and no monthly fees.
when you have an account with them, then whenever you want to sell something, you send the customer to 2checkout website to pay, then 2checkout takes care of the payment
and that's it really.

2checkout.com do not offer merchant accounts, they have nothing more than a credit card gateway. If you're looking for an actual merchant account which is your best choice, some of the big ones are authorize.net (US) and psigate.com (US & Canada).
For a simple payment gateway, 2checkout.com and paysystems.com seem to be the big ones here. Both have a quite a few negative reviews so I'd recommend a little research on them ahead of time.

Your own merchant account = Your companies name on credit card bills, greater flexibility and control of billing cycles, less processing fees
3rd Party Merchant account = Their company name on clients cards, pain to change recurring amounts and track paid invoices, higher processing fees and chargeback fees

2checkout process payment for you to deduct money from ur customers and then send you the money
you can use ready made softwares like modernbill or any others for billing which can integrate with 2checkout and make things automated

TrustCommerce!!!
Those guys have a quite advanced system for payment processing. They help you through the whole process of getting a merchant account and everything. And their payment gateway API is completely open-source (a version for nearly every language under the sun).
I've found them to be a joy to work with so far. I don't have a full-blown account with them yet. But if you contact them, they'll set you up with a free developer access account, which lets you do everything with their payment gateway save for actually charging/crediting/whatever the cards.

Hi,
Since customer will send to 2checkout, then how to verify the payment transaction to avoid chargeback? Thanks.

So we just need to do the second level fraud checking.
Is that the same for PayPal?
