    Leeching the scammers?

I came across this link on another forum:

    http://aa419.org/ladvampire.html

    from the description:

The Lad Vampire is attacking criminal fake bank web sites - 24 hours / 7 days a week!
The whole time this page is running on your machine you are stealing bandwidth from these web sites.
Once an offending web site shows an error 509 (Bandwidth Limit Exceeded), this tool will be updated ...
quite an interesting way to get back at scamming sites

http://www.creditlyonnaissa.com/ 509 Looks like they already killed 1 .. lol

I don't think I would run that page though unless I knew for sure that these places were illegit.. Could just be a competitor or pissed off person trying to just shut down their sites for laughs..

It looks like this person is in the 419 baiting 'scene' and doing a good job for us all by trying to close down these fake african banks.

I doubt there is even one real bank among the listed sites.

Lol, this is interesting way of getting back at them... But wonder how effective it is with those unmetered lines...

Everyone seems to think its a good idea, until this "technology" is eventually used against you or your clients. It's bound to happen sooner or later.

I don't see how this is too much diff. than a DDOS attack. It's roughly the same thing. Constant connections to their websites, constant flow of bandwidth.

Im not saying that the scammers don't deserve something like this. But look at it. How is it much different? Is it different because your computer isnt a hijacked zombie machine?
