REDUCED PRICE on a Cobalt RAQ4i!!!

I've got a 256mb Raq4i at Rackshack.net I'm looking for someone to assume. It includes a 20gb disk and of course 300gb monthly transfer. It also includes the directPHP (aka Northwest script) account creation utilities. Click here to find out more about this script In a nutshell, it includes a user control panel, automated user setup, a php form to link to your webpage, welcome emails, billing reminders, and more. I have not upgraded this to the latest version, but you can for free.

At any rate, this has a retail setup value of $299 for the Raq and $199 for the autosetup scripts. I was previously asking $275 for this box and the scripts, you take over the $99 monthly Rackshack fee.

I have reduced the price on this to $225 for the pair, and you of course take over the monthly contract with RS. Interested parties please PM me here or email me. Server is immediately available.

Thank you.

The only reason I could see someone taking over payments of a server like this would be to get out of paying a setup fee. Therefore, I don’t really see this as being a valid factor in calculating a cost. Therefore you have the $199 for the script(s), yet your asking $275, which is, more than they cost outright. A few other important factor not mentioned is what RS is charging monthly, and why are you abandoning the server (stability issues, etc.)?

I’m not trying to dog your offer. In fact, I’m interested, but would like to understand a few things better. Thanks for the help in advance.

Avenger, I don't understand your post, but I'll be happy to clarify:

If you bought this same Raq from Rackshack today, you'd pay a one-time fee of $299 and $99 monthly (no contract). If you added the scripts from directPHP, that would be an additional $199, for a setup total of $498. There's no way around that setup fee if you wanted to buy a similar setup today.

I am offering both for a one-time fee of $275 (a savings of over $220 initially), and you assume the $99 monthly ongoing RS fee, which includes customer support and the 300gb transfer monthly.

Does that help? There's nothing wrong with the server at all, I just don't need it anymore. In 6 months it's locked up twice, once due to a runaway CGI process, the other time (3 months ago) for a undetermined reason. It's running approximately 28 domains right now (several pushing 20gb in transfer a month) without a problem.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Rackshack TOS. Sect. 18 - b:

Company reserves right to cancel customers rights under this contract at anytime without further obligation.

Just an observation. :-)

True, this in above post is surely something for the new "customer" to clear with Rackshack's support before entering the deal.

But...

Head Surfer (Rackshack's... well head surfer ) has commented on similar deals in the forums on their site and said that they have no problem with "resellers" and such, so...

Drew, of course I have permission from RS to do this, and in fact have done this several times as we've migrated 3 other RaQs to their Plesk boxes.

Buckey,

Good enough. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the policies @ RS.
