Selling clients from a small host.

I am selling off my very small, but very successful/stable web hosting customers. I do not have the time to run a web hosting business and some unforeseen circumstances have come up.

All of these accounts are cPanel/Fantastico accounts and I will only take offers from hosts who provide cPanel/Fantastico(i might make an exception to Fantastico if the right offer comes around).

My customer base has been very loyal to me. In the past year or so I have only lost 1 account out of 23 total accounts. Some monthly accounts have been with me for over a year.

Support for these customers has been almost zero. I have only had 2 support tickets from them in the last year and half. One was for a password reset, LOL . These customers know how to run their websites!

Below is breakdown of the payment structure for these accounts.

Yearly Accounts

$139.65/Annually - 1GB Storage - 25GB Bandwidth
1 Client - Anniversary Date: 09/05/2004

$23.88/Annually - 50MB Storage - 200mb Bandwidth
1 Client - Anniversary Date: 04/05/2005

$120.00/Annually (PayPal) - 1GB Storage - 25GB Bandwidth
1 Client - Anniversary Date: 01/02/2005

$89.91/Annually - 500MB Storage - 15GB Bandwidth
2 Clients - Anniversary Dates: 03/30/2005

$53.94/Annually - 500MB Storage - 15GB Bandwidth
1 Client - Anniversary Date: 08/04/2004

Monthly Accounts

$24.99/Month - 1GB Storage - 50GB Bandwidth
1 Clients

$20.99/Month - 1GB Storage - 50GB Bandwidth
1 Clients

$9.99/Month - 500MB Space - 15GB Bandwidth
3 Clients

$16.99/Month - 1GB Storage - 30GB Bandwidth
2 Clients

$19.95/Month - 1GB Storage - 25GB Bandwidth
3 Clients

$1.99/Month - 50MB Storage - 200MB Bandwidth
3 Clients

$8.99/Month - 200MB Space - 4GB Bandwidth
1 Client

20 Total Accounts

There are 2 clients who I had a problem billing this month because they apparently moved and have not updated their credit card information. Both of these accounts have been with me for sometime now (over 6 months) and I have contacted both clients and they resolving the problem as we speak. I have not included them in the above breakdown but here they are below:

$14.99/Month – 300MB Storage – 5GB Bandwidth
1 Client

$8.99/Month – 100MB Space – 3GB Bandwidth
1 Client

2 Total Accounts

The storage breakdown/bandwidth breakdown for these accounts is as follow (includeding the 2 accounts that had billing problems):

(I made this a short version, if you need more detailed let me know).

50 Meg Accounts
- 4 megs
- 1 meg
- 1 meg
- 26 megs
Total = 32 Megs

100 Meg Accounts
- 1 meg
- 28 megs
Total = 29 Megs

200 Meg Accounts
- 150 megs
Total = 150 Megs

500 Meg Accounts
- 2 megs
- 1 meg
- 7 megs
- 8 megs
- 406 megs
- 17 megs
Total = 441 Megs

1 Gig Accounts
- 36 megs
- 11 megs
- 66 megs
- 139 megs
- 19 megs
- 195 megs
- 1 meg
- 106 meg
- 64 meg
Total = 467 Megs

For these 22 accounts the bandwidth for last month (June 2004) was only 64 Gigs total.

Profit
--------

- Monthly (EXCLUDING the 2 billing error accounts) = $184.74
- Monthly (INCLUDING the 2 billing error accounts which should be resolved in the next day or so.) = $208.72

- Yearly Profit = $517.29

Payment
-------------

Payment to made by cashiers check/money order or Certified Check. In U.S. Currency.

Please PM me with your offers or email me at underzen AT gmail.com .

I am looking for the best offer from the best host company which I will determine.

Requirements
-------------------

- I require a test a account on your hosting server to test your site and also your reliability/speed before I sale is final.

- You must provide cPanel/Fantastico. Some of my customers are utilizing fantastico but if you do not have fantastico your going to have to deal with the backlash from them.

I will keep everyone up to date with the best offers that I receive.

I will end this sale when I find the right host for the right price.

Good Luck.

I forgot to add as someone has already asked this. I am not looking for monthly payments for the purchase of these clients.

Thanks.

Expect the "right price" to be $2500+

I would like to add as this question has come up as well. The sale of these clients will be transfered to your hosting company. This is why I require that you have cPanel so it is a smooth transfer.

Thanks

What about the "hosting company" itself. Who will keep the company domain? I assume you? right?

I have been tossing around the idea of including the domain name as well so that the dns changes for ns1 and ns2 can be easy for the buyer. This way all the should have to is change the ip's of the ns1 and ns2 name servers at the registrar and add the ns1 and ns2 too there cpanel config as third and forth nameservers. At least I think this will work.

underzen, you do not accept payments via cc it seems. Therefore it would be dfficult for a us office-less company to be receiving the cheques and other physical modes of payment.

Can you please include other details like what PR is your website at and how many new signups are you getting? This is assuming that you are throwing in the whole website as well

I am not throwing in the website but my site has a PR of 5. I am not sure where you saw you I do not accept cc payments, but all of my customers pay via CC and I have an authorize.net account.
