Question

DataCenter for colocate servers - stable network and more than 3-4 Tier1 providers

Hello guys,
I have some servers. I want to colocate them somewhere dont care if in US or EU. The server will be used for web/email/dns hosting and IRC hostinng.

I need data centers with more than 3-4 Tier-1 providers, stable network..
Can you suggest me some data centers? or providers dont know.
Tell me what would the best.

Thank you for your time.

How many servers? What size? How much bandwidth?
What budget?

Not many people will let you host IRC

I have 5 servers ready, but how many i will send for colocated depends on the price and the offer.

I am only intersted at this point to know some datacenters. Tell me for example above.net's datacenter in san jose.. something like that and a site please.

That is the info i need at the moment.

I am sorry - but you are not going to find a quality provider using several teir 1 carriers and managing a quality network that will allow you to have IRC servers....if you do find one, they will be expensive.

Any low cost providers will have crappy networks.

You didnt answer my questions.. I need this information to know who to recommend to you.

Some providers have "minimum commits" on both space and bandwidth, others have lower ones, or none at all.

What size is each server? (1U?)
How much bandwidth do you need in total?
What is your budget for the space and bandwidth?

You cant get recommendations without people knowing what you want, or how much you want to pay for what you want.

AboveNET won't be willing to take him on for IRC, neither will HE< or XO or LEvel or Savvis.

I dont think HE, L3, Savvis have policy against IRC.

XO's AUP disallow it though.

Argon Blue is in HE.ne Fremont.

I can give max 100$ per server, is 19" every server and i need a simple U for every server. Every server will be use about 500GB bandwith max. (so we are talking about 2500GB).

I am not interested in linking an irc server to a big network (undernet/efnet/quakenet etc). I will only have some costumers with bots/bncs.

2500GB is going to run you 10mbps or so with a colocation provider. Maybe you sure look into your real requirement usage and go from there.

Incorrect, Level3, and Savvis both don't allow IRC.
