Free Domain Transfer

My friend has a domain name that he wishes to transfer to me, is there any registrar where I can register for free (without purchasing a domain name), and then he can transfer it to that registrar for free? Does e-nom do this? Please help, thanks.

Not what he is looking for. I think he wants to know of a registrar that will accept transfers from other registrars for free. I do not think any registrar does this

Ah, i dont think anyone does it for free outside (a different registration company) you can transfer it locally, within the company.

companies like RegisterFly, Godaddy, Enom allow you to transfer ownership of domains within their system

check where the domain is registered at, most companies allow local transfers for free both registrars and resellers
