Company says set up my domain.. but I haven't gotten confirmation..?

I registered my domain with Netrillium yesterday and haven't gotten an email saying it was set up etc.

But I also registered my hosting yesterday and this company says they set up my domain on their servers and are waiting for me to pay.

Should I go ahead or wait for Netrillium to give me another email?

If they say they are waiting for payment, and you havent paid them yet, you may want to pay them. Just a thought.

No, the hosting company I'm using is different from the company I registered my domain with. I have no obligation to them.

it is quite strange that you didn't receive a confirmation for your domain name, does your credit card statment shows the domain fee was debited ???

you may want to check first if they registered your domain through:

http://www.freewho.com/checker/index.php

then try to contact them to see why you didn't receive an email.

you can't activate your domain if you don't have information for control panel to set NS servers of your new host.

Regards,

When you bought the domain, you had to setup an account with login and password right? did you try logging in and accessing the control panel?

Also, don't forget, it could take up to 72 hours for the domain to propagate.

Well I checked and it said that the domain is not registered yet. This make sense since I made the query last night, but I wonder why the hosting company says they put the domain name on their server already.

72 at most but usually 24 to 48 Hours, but that is not the point, a domain registration is REAL time, thus he his domain should be already registered no matter where he will be hosting.

trying to login with the user and password you set is indeed a good idea but in all cases he should have received a confirmation email

I think that they mean that the hosting account for the domain is setup, they are not talking about domain registration,

was your card debited with the domain registration fee ?? if not register your domain elsewhere and pay for your host

You should have at least gotten a confirmation from us saying the order was submitted. If you got nothing at all, it could be that your e-mail is having a problem or there is a payment issue.

I of course cannot give you any information on either here in a public forum. However, you can e-mail sales@netrillium.com with your information and we'll gladly sort it out.
