Phenominet Support: Do they answer your e-mails?

Hello,

Can any of you guys (who use EDIT - phenominet.com - /EDIT or not) get a response from their support or sales team?

I've been e-mailing them for over a week about a payment I sent them but I'm getting no where.

Anyone have problems with their support?

Thanks,
Mark.

Hmmm, maybe you got the name wrong?

http://reports.internic.net/cgi/whoi...om&type=domain

No match for domain "PHEMONINET.COM".

Sorry - phenominet.com.

I'm not making that typo in the e-mails.

Cheers.

Unfortunately, I rely on e-mail support only. Can't call that number from where I am (not the US...)

Hmmmm. I'll try e-mailing them... again.

Try to send your email using another email service (server). Maybe for some strange reason the emails really don't get to them.

Hi MrMark....I used phenominet.com for almost 3 years for one of my websites, just moved the site 2 months ago though. I also webmaster 2 sites for friends that are still hosted with phenominet. Up until the past few months, their support has been pretty good. I did discover when asking them about account refunds, or for asking them to renew domains names...I never did get a response to that unless I asked many times. They would finally reply with something like..."we have passed on your mail to our bookkeeper". Who I was told only works part-time. I guess the only way to get an answer is to email support@ and tell them you want someone to reply to your questions. Good luck, I know it's not easy!

Deb

These guys are STILL ignoring all e-mails from me, no matter what e-mail account I use.

And guess what? They were prompt answering my e-mails before I signed up. Now that I've paid a year in advance, I guess they don't care about me anymore.

AVOID PHENOMINET IF YOU EXPECT SOME SUPPORT VIA E-MAIL.

So annoying.

This is why you shouldn't pay for a year in advance, and why you know that now I'm sure

Keep to a 30 day recurring charge, and no contracts..this way the host has to continue to provide good service day in and day out to win your business back each month.

They have nothing to strive for if you've already paid for the year.

Most of the time that's the case indeed. Sometimes though, if you take into account the cost to acquire the customer, the host *has* to provide good service as the real profit comes in the 2nd, 3rd, and so on years of service.
