clamAV and mailscanner?


I need to install an antivirus program on my cpanel server. Do you guys recommend clamAV AND mailscanner or just one or the other. I have read alot of old threads from years ago and would appreciate any up to date threads from any forum on how to install these programs via ssh. Links would be highly appreciated.

ClamAV with Mailscanner is very powerful and is quite good if configured correctly but, you're going to run into a large amount of overhead from scanning attachments for viruses.

Just something to think about.

Yeah if you configure it correct, i currently use exiscan / clamav

It uses an outdated clamav.

You can update clamav using the Clam Updater:

Well installer will give you the latest package (clam) and later you can use clam-updater.
