Got Snakes?

I just moved down to Virginia from California where I was living in an urban environment. In my new home, I have already seen three copperhead snakes. I know folks who live in India and deal with real mean snakes, but to me any snake is a mean snake....

Besides killing them, and ideas for keeping copperheads away from the house?

The Copperhead is the most common venomous snake found in the eastern US.

Geez, we have diamonback rattlers here but I've never had one in my house.

Sad to say, but make sure you don't have rodents living around your house, such as mice. Snakes obviously eat them so..

Well, they are not in the house, but they are in the driveways and streets. This is a new development and the homes were cut right out of the forrest. There are even coyotes getting in the garbage....

Welcome to the jungle!

Buy cats.
Cats kill snakes.
Youll need some spares because the snake might get them once in a while..... just kidding..

We have a lot of cat that live around and near our house so that keeps them out pretty well.
