mrtg - total data transfer

Yes, already zillions of topic for mrtg. This is a very populer subject, as a "trust-in-searching" person, maybe i am blind from over-work or really such question does not exist:

I have installed mrtg. I have installed the rh-cpanel release on my Fedora box, but it works, i do not know how, some luckily i can be able to overcome the errors.

But mrtg only shows the outgoing traffic in kb/s . I need the total bandwith i used, so i can calculate if i will exceed my bw or not, Mrtg does not show that or i have an error on install?

For check my report page is:

http://66.197.173.110/mrtg/

Do i need to calculate it manually by multiplying my average monthly out kb/s by 60 x 60 x 24 x 30 LOL

The quick answer is 'yes', but just multiple the monthly average (in + out)kb by .33 to get a number in GB.

There are other tools that do the calc for you (rrdtool based ones are flexible and easy since the data history is actually stored).

You can also find MRTG solutions that do the GB calc as well on the graph but their names slip my mind at the moment. Hopefully someone else has a better memory .

Thanks for the info.

How about using bandmin? Its already installed on my system, i think i need to add alias.

Alias /bandwidth/ /usr/local/bandmin/htdocs/

This is OK on my apache configuration. But it returns 404 Error when i try to reach it.
