I am not allowed to post URL's yet... But I don't think they would mind if I censor it -- I'm only helping someone out. I am pretty sure that rule is more for personal sites/hosting companies anyway, and this definitely isn't my company.

Their cheapest shared plan is $24.94/month.

i don't think ultraunix.net server is based in japan. It's not easy to find a webhost that is located in japan.

I live in Osaka, and just did a search on this site for hosters:
http://www.hikaku.com/server/
One company wil give you 9GB bandwidth/month for 7,350JPY, but for bandwidth of over 20GB or so, the prices are over 10,000. Some of the companies that came up in the search want over 100,000JPY/month!!!
Really, it should make almost 0 difference if the datacenter/company is based in the US, Japan, or India.
