Sago Networks DC (Tampa) - WOW

Hello. HostNetway Internet Solutions is at this moment at the Managed.com facility in San Jose, California. We signed up with one of there resellers, AngelNetworkz. Now, I must say that the data center has been having some network glinches in and out, so me and my partner are now moving to another data center, where is it more dependable, and where the support is great.

Once we posted on HostHideout, we received a PM from one of their representatives, and thank god we did. He gave us a great offer that we just could not sure down, and decided to buy the new server at their Tampa Data Center (Yes, they own there own data centers with 99.999% uptime). We did many speed test with there networks, and it just couldn't even be a competition with the Managed.com facility at all... I mean the speeds are just unbeleivable! Now, I know you may be thinking, 'Well, they uploaded files on THERE server so that it can appear fast", but not in this case. The packets came from the some of the users who have a box with them. No one doesn't seem to talk about this data center much on HostHideout, but I do beleive it is time to look into Sago Networks for those who need a better DC.

Also, the support team is unbeleivable. I sent a test support inquiry at 1:20 AM EDT, and got a reply within 5 minutes! No joke.... meanwhile at AngelNetworkz, it would be about an hour until we got a response, and normally short answeres.

To conclude, if you are looking for a kicking DC with great uptime, reliabilty, the best support team, and great *custom* prices, you should really consider going to them. And you may want to contact there sales agent here on HostHideout too, or just make a Request, and pray that he will see your request. :-D

I beleive it is worth it!!!

BTW, does anyone on HostHideout own a box with them? Can they tell us there experience?

Thanks

seems like a good first impression. Repost in 6 months and see if you're still singing the same tune (not saying you won't be...)

We used Sago/UCG going back about 12-18 months ago.

Their support and network is great, their billing system is a shamble.

After we discontinued service with them, firstly we were charged for 4 months after we cancelled, which took mutliple chargebacks from our bank, and then, after that, our server was not unplugged for a further 8 months!

So they billed us for what we didnt use, then kept the server up, idle and empty!

I agree with you thenetway, sago are just unbelievible!!! Great network, great support, great team (ya...)... I got a server with them since March, and i would say that i have seen... hum... 5 minutes downtime since...

And now that they are using Level3, my server is much faster...

I recommand them to everyone here...

I think the main thing at this point is are they utilizing anyone else other than Level3???

So far it doesn't look like it, other posts have talked about the fact that their routing announcments only appear from L3. Sure maybe they have a Failover Solution in place, but it would be go to hear straight from them exactly who their secondary connectivity is through and how it is activated.

I'd much rather see a true LB BGP implementation.

It hasn't been a problem yet and im just hoping it never happens
As for sagos support, I know two people with sago boxes:
The first had an "accidental" reboot (support said they accidentally rebooted it instead of the box next to it).
The second had an "accidental" reformat (support said they accidentally reformatted it instead of the box next to it). Just glad it was only 28 hours after he got the box and it wasn't running anything super important.

Based on the other thread, of course you can't control your upstream, but the same holds for level 3. At this point, if L3 has a problem upstream from them, as long as their BGP session is up, ALL of thier network will be effected becuase there is no other paths for traffic to take. Someone will have to manually fire up GBLX, and that would have me a little nervous.

Not to say that L3 is bad, they are clearly one of the best, but S**t happens, and in this case, all of their customers will suffer, instead of only the ones utilizing L3.

I'm not bashing Sago or anything, just making a point and looking at the issue from all fronts. Based on their pricing, I'd say the service is still a great value.

Sagonet amazes me too!! I will get my next server with them and have angelnetworkz.net manage it. Sago has a great uptime gurantee, and a great track record, and concidering the uptime gurantee a great deal. I STRONGLY RECCOMEND (IN ALL CAPS!) THEM!

HostHideout is another forum like WHT, and sagonet is sagonet.com.

This is correct. Their sales replies are also too short.
