Hey guys,
I'm looking to get into the web hosting business. I am either looking to join someone who already has experience in starting and maintaining their business or is established and looking for someone with my qualifications.
If noone is looking to partner then I wish to request that someone aid me along the process of starting and maintaining a web host.
Now, my services to you would be basically anything tech related. I am an experienced PHP/MYSQL programmer, as well as I have been a programmer in general for 4 years. I have intermediate knowledge in Linux and Solaris only as far as the web server apache and installation of php/mysql is concerned. I have operated and developed a few web sites (non-web host related), 1 that uses a content management system that I developed and another is a product (that my brother developed) web site that provides ordering, etc. I also have experience in integrating Authorize.net's merchant system so I am sure I could pick up the basics of other systems as well. I know how to modify CGI/PERL scripts as well as install them but I would not say that I could create detailed web applications like I could in PHP/MYSQL.
Again, I would stress that I would much rather partner with someone that either has an established web hosting company or someone that already has experience that is looking for a new venture. Please contact me with any inquiries.
