I suspect steganography.

I run a free image hosting service and one user has 205 images totaling over 350 megs. Each image is 100x100 and between 1.43MB and 1.91MB. They are .jpg format seemingly.

I don't see how this is possible under any quality with JPG. I have some experience with tracking down stego but if anyone would mind taking a look at these images please PM me.

100x100 mm or pixels ?

Over 1MB size is too weird for both sizes.

It's my understanding that steganography does not add to the file size, but instead uses "slack" space or contiguous colored pixels to store info.

You are correct but I do recall some size discrepancies when I studied this field.

What are you doing spying on a user's data in the first place? Did they consent to that upon signing up?

actually, this is common among image hosts. Gotta stop Child Porn, regular porn, etc.
