SurfSpeedy, stay away from them!!!

Hi,

I seriously want to blame this biggest **** host company!!!!
The support is a joke, very very slow... and the answers says nothing!

And they suspended my account with any previous information...
They said that my website consumes 70% of machine resources, detail, my website didnt have 1000 visits by day... I think that they uses a 486 with webservers...

Hi,

Maybe you should try contacting them for more info such as proof that your site was using 70% of the server resources and try getting your data from their server & a refund and move on.

Good luck.

Hi thepixel,

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. A good host would usually provide some evidence of your excessive CPU use and then provide you with some notice - or provide solutions to the problem, rather than just cutting you off.

I think you should grab your files and find another host.

Best of luck!

I agree with the two posts above !

A good web hosting company should be able to provide sufficient server logs to back up their claim.

If they are not willing to do so definitely move on to another host.

actually, ive known quite a few people using surfspeedy and they haven't had a single problem using their services.

i would definately ask them to show you records of how you used up 70% of the system resources.

you dont need 1000 visits a day to put a lot of load on the server, just cpu intensive scripts.

but no one explanation about that... I've sent soh much emails and until now no answers!

the delay of their support its an absurd, they are a big **** host!

if you offer 50 gb of bandwith, you have to support 1000 visits by day, its the minimum.... or close your bussines!

have in mind, I did one benchmark of my website that they suspended, in one atlhon 1.3, and it supported 8.000 simultaneous visits with only 30% of cpu...

If you are so dissatisfied by their hosting capabilities, I would honestly start to look for a new host because I don't think they would be able to satisfy your needs.

Either try looking on the offers page of this forum, or use the host quote feature above.

thepixel, are you running any resource-intensive scripts? It may be the issue behind this.

SurfSpeedy should, however, be able to give you some log files as prove that you are indeed pushing 70% of the resources.

In the meantime, I do hope you have backups.

I can't publish my domain here... sorry... if you wanna know, send me a pm...

Steve don't worry, I'm already cancelled my account, and I'm not to go back to your hands....

Your work was to telling me the problem (if it existed) and not suspend my account with any information...

You need to think about yours plans!

Hi Pixel,

as long as you gave yourself right to to say "SurfSpeedy, stay away from them!!!" to public then I think WHT visitors have the right to know your domain name.

your post may harm surfspeedy business and this post will be here for long long time and i guess ppl need to know full truth.
