How do I tell godaddy to **** off?

So the topic is a bit extreme... but it's what I want to do.

Every few days / hour I get stupid emails from godaddy offering hosting services, services, domains and just about everything under the sun! SSL certs, cars, dogs.. ok, so I made the last 2 up, sue me.

Anyway, I am just sick of this! I did not tell godaddy to email me, nor any of the owners of the domains.... how do I tell them to stop? Do they feel like spam helps? I swear.... I get an email just about every week with offers from them, hosting & what not.

Is there some dumb option that I can un-select? It seems pretty dumb of them... I mean, they are the "#1 Registrar" yet they spam their own PAYING customers.

I don't sell godaddy domains to customers... and I never will. It's just every email address they get their hands on gets some spam it seems. I wouldn't laugh is their wildwestdomain thing emailed your customers with links to godaddy's hosting services.

have you opened a support request with them? I have found them to be very helpful.

And BTW I never get any emails from them, except domain renewals.

Is there an unsubscribe, remove etc.. link at the very bottom of the email? Most companies have one of those... Otherwise, is there a section in your member's area like preferences, profile, etc..? Surf around there...

Sorry I couldn't be more help, I don't use Godaddy (and now I'm glad I don't)

Hmm, I will look around.

Here is an example/quote from one email:

HOT opportunity to earn extra cash? Look to GoDaddy.com's sister company, Wild West Domains(R) - the hottest reseller program going!
Heck, my spam software even canned it.

I get the same emails.

There is an unsubscribe link, but it's useless - the mail's keep on coming. The only way I avoid it now, is using Cerberus, just can everything from godaddy.

Why not?

I've been calling as I see it, for about 12 month's. I even called them and specifically asked that I was not contacted with any further 'special offers', and gave them each and every email that should be removed.

That was a mistake, as it seemed to just provoke more out of them

Anyone live in Indiana? Spam goes for $500 per violation. I suggest checking your spam laws in your area. If they have good enough violations such as Indiana take them to the bank for spam.

I've been a paying user of godaddy for a number of domains for years. I don't get a single one of these spam emails. Not one. You guys must've selected something at registration or something, because I have no issues with them at all. They've been great with me, support was great too.

Same here as well, even registered another domain with godaddy last night, and out of all the domains I have at godaddy, none of them generate godaddy spam.

Yep I read all the stuff I sign up for. People think its cool to pre-check boxes like send me updates about your products.

I haven't gotten any emails from godaddy about other products but they do get a little pushy when a domain expires.
