best space and bandwidth?

I am looking for a host which only gives 5GB space and 80-120GB bandwidth. I dont want anything more. only space and bandwidth. is there a host like this?

For that amount of space and bandwidth I'd recommend a dedicated server. Most hosting providers will include all the other fun stuff into a hosting package, such as a control panel. The only shared host that I can think that would fit your space and bandwidth requirements is www.lunarpages.com. I'm sure there's more out there, and I'm sure all could do a plan like that, but you would have to probably contract their sales staff first in order to get a custom plan made up for you as a plan that size isn't really requested all that often so many don't advertise it.

... that was a huge run-on sentence.

Use something like comingsoon.com, or the address you have in mind

Sounds to me like you might be using this web space to transfer/share files with your friends or something like that. Unless you have the license/copyright of those files most hosts will not let you do that and will suspend your website once they catch you. But then again, you might need it for something else, so that doesn't really apply to you.

Cheers!

With the specs that you're looking for, you'd be lucky to get that for $75.00 a month, dallama. General market standard is around $1.00 to $2.50 per gig of traffic, so you should probably either increase your budget, or reduce your requirements if you want to locate a host that'll be around a while.

dallama, some reputable hosts such as Lunarpages.com do offer good deals like $7.95 a month for 800mb/40gb (if you prepay a year).

However, do the maths - if you want a package like that you can already see that you've exceeded the $75 per year mark ($7.95 x 12 = $95.40).

If you do find a host offering you that much space and bandwidth for $75 a year or less, you can be 100% sure that as soon as you hit more than a few GB of transfer, they'll shut you down for overusage of resources, and then you'll be out of your account AND money.

My advice - for those specs, you shouldn't be looking at anything less than $50 a MONTH. But I'm sure you can find them a little lower (e.g. Dinix offers VPS plan of 6Gb/75Gb for around $40 a MONTH).

I recommend a VPS because that amount of transfer seems a tad high for shared hosting unless you happen to be hosting only static pages.

Some places you can try out:
