What are you looking for in a host.
I am wondering what people on webhostingtalk are looking for in a host and what helps then to decide which host to pick?

There are numerous threads about this topic. I recommend trying a search because this topic is discussed often and at length.

enough space, good transfer, stability and GREAT support (fast and friendly).
how to decide? finding reviews about the ones that have good plans for my needs, like if i need Cpanel, fantastico, the monthly transfer, etc.

Space, speed, reliability and good support! Price is important as well but I would be willing to pay for quality service than pay less and have headaches trying to contact the host or get support.

If I were looking for a host, I'd look for one I can trust that when I put in a support ticket I'll be able to get a knowledgeable answer that helps me, or fixes the problem. One where the servers are reliable and fast at all times. I also like to be able to talk to my host and have a personal service. Not some drone type service that treats me like a number and not a person.

I currently have almost 40 costumers, i know 95% of them were other company's "refugees", they look for a good home, maximum uptime, the big cats look for the best speed one can provide.

alot of hsot offer ssh chances are that you have to ask for it or its on request becasue they dont normally enable it unless you really need it.
