apache-ssl vs mod-ssl

I was comparing apache-ssl and mod-ssl Debian package when I read that with apache-ssl, you can have multiple vhosts with only 1 IP address. While with mod-ssl, you'll need 1 IP address for each (SSL-enabled) vhost.

Am I getting it right or wrong ?

I'm a bit concerned though that the apache-ssl package has been a bit old - in the Changelog the last update was dated 2002. But if there's no big security hole, then I'll use apache-ssl for the reason above.

Feel free to kick me if I'm talking non-sense here

Thanks,
Harry
