    bind issues, any ideas?

    when I restart bind I recieve this. rndc: connect failed: connection refused


    any ideas?

    guessing you have cpanel try this

    /scripts/fixnamed
    /scripts/fixndc

    Might need to run those scripts a couple of times to make sure they are fixed. Also, you could try deleting the rndc-key(or something similar) in the /etc/named.conf and /etc/rndc.conf if they don't fix it, it should recreate the key if they are missing.

    Usually its just rndc-key having a "-" so make it rndckey in both rndc.conf and named.conf
