Lets say somehow I manage to collect US$12k a year for Cogent's 100Mb/s connectivity and share it with my 10 neighbours.
If everyone downloads a big huge file from a big huge server.. what is the usual total bandwidth one can achieve with said connection?
Anyone have traffic graphs for Level3, GBX, Yipes, whatever it may be? I recall seeing [email protected] uploading their "work units" at 30Mb/s using their 100Mb/s cogent connection when they switched servers.
Originally posted by Tracert you wont be able to get cogent 100mbps @ $1000 residentially, or even in a datacenter for the most part...
They don't offer their 100Mbps product as a standard residentally delivered solution. You can only get it for $10/Mbps if you pick it up in an approved datacenter and run a loop to where ever you live or work, or if you're in a Cogent-lit building. If they have to run loops for you, it's going to cost more.
