I am interested in a domain that was to expire this week. A check at whois.sc showed that it's expiration had been extended another year. In checking on it today there seems to be some confusion as to the domains status. Here's the statement at the end of the whois info:
" >>> Last update of whois database: Wed, 2 Jun 2004 08:08:27 EDT <<<
NOTICE: The expiration date displayed in this record is the date the registrar's sponsorship of the domain name registration in the registry is currently set to expire. This date does not necessarily reflect the expiration date of the domain name registrant's agreement with the sponsoring registrar. Users may consult the sponsoring registrar's Whois database to view the registrar's reported date of expiration for this registration.
The registrar the domain was originally obtained through states the domain is Not available. Network Solutions states that the domain Is available. I can't think of a domain I would want badly enough to buy through netsol. Can't register through Godaddy, Enom or other major registrars. Here's the statement at netsol:
*Please note that the availability of some domains may be restricted in accordance with the Domain Management Policy*
