    ive locked up one console

    Ive got a job on one virtual console that has locked the console. How would i free up the console?

    im assuming something along the lines of loggin in with another console and killing the job? how would i do this?

    ps -ef | grep <processname>

    kill <pid> (will be in the second coloumn of the ps -ef )

    You can try typing "Ctrl-z" to use bash's job control features to stop the forground job.
