Originally posted by freak Brazil may be world number one, but argentina is just as great. Winning the world cup doesn't mean that the team is undefeatable...
Argentina has Crespo, Saviola, Veron, Solari, Aimar, Ayala, Samuel etc. I wouldn't say that they are not as good as brazil....
Don't forget about Zanetti and Carlos Tevez who is only 20 years old .
I guess the match isn't going to be televised in England, ah well, I keep refreshing that page with the match news on it, currently Brazil lead 2-0, BOTH goals were penalties and both were taken by Ronaldo.
Ok, I wish I saw the match. It's full time, and it's 3-1 to Brazil, and ALL THREE of Brazil's goals were PENALTIES and ALL of them were taken by Ronaldo and scored. A hat-trick of penalties, how often does that happen?
I can't believe Argentina gave away 3 penalties in such a big game.
Ronaldo scored in the 16th, 67th and 90th minutes for the five-time champions after he was pulled down three times. Colombian referee Oscar Ruiz awarded the penalty kicks for fouls by Gabriel Heinze, Javier Mascherano and goalkeeper Pablo Cavallero.
-- Argentina, which outshot Brazil 14-11, controlled the game in the first half.
"We dominated the first half, but unfortunately we failed to score despite creating several scoring chances,'' Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa said.

Kahn depends too much on his form. If he is on form, he is great, if not almost any other keeper is better than him.
IMO Cassilas is better...
England's got it abit weak on the keeper. They don't have Ferdinand for the time being even though Terry is a good replacement but then...
Well going by England's recent performances, getting past the group stages would be great. Let's also hope that the opposition don't get many free-kicks near the goal, because they WILL go in, David James is simply not up to international standards. England have no one.
We are in the UK and can’t believe such a HUGE game wasn’t broadcasted live, SKY Sports broadcasted a live Brazilian International in October I think it was but nothing since.
A small UK channel (Bravo) had full repeat of the game at prime time but that was it.
Out of interest how much Premiership/English live coverage do you get in South America? Scandinavia gets live Premiership at 15:00 on a Saturday and British viewers don’t even get that! Thanks to the terrestrial highlights agreement.
Saying that we are getting live the Copa America : -), are you getting Euro 2004 live?
