    _ULTRA_ cheap servers

    Hi everybody,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a startlingly cheap server? Like a 400MHz PII, 192MB RAM, 10GB disk, etcetera? Any control panel would be nice, I don't care which one. As long as I have at least 50GB bandwidth, I'll be happy.

    Thanks everybody.

You're going to struggle to find servers of that spec being sold these days (as in still in a data centre...)

yeah, its not worth it to keep such outdated hardware in a data center theese days. The space is worth more than the machine.

If he only needs 10GB of space a VPS might be a good fit for this situation.. depends on his needs for direct kernel/hardware access.

Either VPS or buy an old server for a couple hundred bucks and colocate in a DC where you'd be charged small fee + actual bandwidth only.

try at kcnetpro.com . They might have one of those low-end systems.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

    Avoid kcnetpro.com.

They are fine when everything runs well, and spectacularly incompetent, bordering on negligent when it comes to technical support.
