    Question Webhosting Message Board

Anyone know of any good ones?

I see hosting requests are banned.

I'm looking for a good board where you can get a good European host.

    Any suggestions?

Try using the "Host Quote" feature (the orange link at the upper right of your screen). Also try looking through the Advertising section here, I know for a fact that you can find some good European hosts there.

Are you looking for a host with servers in Europe or for a host with an European (support) office?

    DeathNova:-
I've just used the host quote feature. I didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing it out. They should put a link to it in that "no hosting requests" post at the top of the page.

    Walter:-
I want the server in Europe. Ideally Denmark, or Holland. The site's a "Howard Stern/Michael Moore" type adult entertainment site, and I need a liberal TOS.

Everything except child porn is what I'm looking for TOS wise.

Is that Kuwait host any good for that?

I thought muslim countries were strictly anti-porn!

Wasn't that the ******** Heir Busche sold his "war on terror" to the world on?

"Jealous of our freedoms" etc. etc.

It was america that came for my internet porn freedoms (US visa mandate), not Al-Qaeda!

Funny how things turn out, isn't it?

Nice liberal TOS, but at $3.5K per month for a server on a 0.5MB line, it's a bit pricey...

    They should look into processing!

    I'm going with solidrack.com

They're in Atlanta, but the servers are in Holland.

That is not correct, it's pretty much the other way around.

Our main administration office is located in the Netherlands, however all of our servers are located in Atlanta, GA. We also do have crew available in Atlanta, and several other places around the world. Only the administration office is in the Netherlands, but basically the customer doesn't notice any difference because of that.

Oh I just realised what Copland may have meant: as of lately we also have servers available in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. These servers are not (yet) listed on our site (we are working on that) and they are a little more expensive. If you are interested in a server in the Netherlands, please feel free to contact us about that. However note: the servers on http://www.solidrack.com are all located in Atlanta.

    You need a new processor!

I've just had to spend half an hour listening to telephone music to do a wire becase 2co declined my payment, unless I faxed them a load of ID.

Perfeclty good card (debit not credit - no chargebacks). All the AVS results matched up.

If you weren't the only non US host that offered me hosting, I'd have gone elsewhere (I hate call centres, and avoid all contact with them like the plague), and you'd have lost $600 a month (minimum) for life!

I am trying to put up a directory of reliable European hosts, but unfortunately there is not much time for the spade work. Now relying only on community input. When I need a reliable host, I usually do a WHT search. You will find here loads of information, but unfortunately it is not systematized.

Firstly I'd like to thank you for staying with us!

As for our creditcard processor, 2checkout, they are known to be one of the best in the business. However, these days they appear to suspect just about everyone, for bad reasons. In your situation they appear to have declined the payment (without identification) because they couldn't verify your IP. In my opinion that should indeed not be a reason to immediately cancel your order, I have told that them too.

I'm still awaiting their response on that though.

    Regards,
