Removing mail from Quarantine
I am using EXIM on RH9.
I do get some legit files sent by associates but they happen to be quarantined because of their extensions (.psd.eps files)
How do I get mailscanner to release these files and send them to me?
I have access to root and mailscanner etc..
Any kind advice is much appreciated.
What you want to do first is fine the email in
Then rename the files without the double extension.
then using mutt do the following.
mutt -s "Subject" -a theattachment.psd < bodytext.txt [email protected]
bodytext.txt can the be body of the actual message.
Hope this helps
Here is another way to do it using uuencode
uuencode attachementname.ppt attachementname.ppt |mail -s "test" [email protected]
There is also mailwatch http://mailwatch.sourceforge.net/
Which is an interface for managing the queue and quarantine on a MailScanner system. To manage the queue you would have to be running sendmail.
I am currently testing this on a non production machine, I will let you know how it turns out
