Newbie here - htaccess and perl conflict

Hi every body I am new here.

We have a problem that maybe someone could shed some light on.

our htaccess file looks like this
Options -Index
ErrorDocument 403 bbs Wont let me put the path XXXXXx
ErrorDocument 404 bbs Wont let me put the path CCCCc

When these options are set I can not run perl or php on our server. When we take out the Options -Indes line every thing is fine.

When we replace Options -Index with IgnoreIndex it has no effect at all. Directory Browsing is still enabled.

Our server is running Zeus 4.2.

If someone can shed some lignt on this I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I have tried both both work to stop directory browsing but both do not permit the running of a perl or php. I get a error.

Am now using IndexIgnore *.* but that just stops file browsing. What i reall want is directory browsing and an error so that I can trap traffic

The Options -Indexes should work if the httpd.conf file always you to manipulate that. Have your hosting provider add this to your virtual section of the httpd.conf file.

AllowOverride All
