Payment Gateway that works for webmasters that live in Panama
I am hosting in a new company that is far better from the one before.
They have an Agora Shopping Cart Script included in the control panel for the sites.
I have 5 domains, but i am trying to implement a collection procedure thats easy and quick for my users.
The main project is a non for profit medical educational web based site focused on recovery from addiction and addiction medicine.
What we need is to offer the users the posibility to have many memberships levels so we can charege a minimal fee per year membership, so our hope is that in the future the project will be self-supporting.
So I begin to mount the script in another site that its mine:
1.- When they say that they serve only the US it refers to the owner of the account, not to the users?
It means the owner of the account. To get a US merchant account, you need at least a US address (not too sure if a PO box would cut it but it might since it is more difficicult to get that than going to a MBE); a TAX ID number or social - if you have both, even better; and a US bank account. Some processors are different and require more. Most though require this as the minimum
2.- If i have a Po Box in the USA can I apply to that type of accounts or that will be legally incorrect?
Would not necessarily be legally incorrect, just the processor might not accept a PO box as the place of business. Most though require a physical address (I am guessing 99% of them do). You might be able to use your address in Panama as your physical address & the PO box as your mailing address.
3-. Whic is the service that I need in order to implement our project.?
Membership fees are sometimes high risk because of the charegbacks that are requested. They find the information out & then call the banks to request a chargeback because they "were not happy with the service" or when they get their statement "I didn't do it"
You are correct though - you would incorporate the payment gateway into the shopping cart. Then the CC processor would get the money over to you. With you being in Panama & the business, your discount rate might be a bit higher & the processor might request a reserve depending on your credit history
