My cPanel license was expired on 25th by softwareworks and my credit card was charged by managed.com on 26th.
I sent an email to softwareworks on 25th asking why my license has been expired. It took them about 16 hours to reply and they said that my license is active ( they refered to another ip address, although i stated my ip 3 times.. stupid ??? ).
Then I sent another email and it took them 26 hours to reply this time and they said my license has been expired as there is a pending payment of the license since 19th.
Isn't it managed.com's responsibility to pass over the $19.95 to softwareworks ??
Any idea what takes softwareworks so many hours to reply?
I registered a server with cpanel.
Do you think it is because managed.com charged my CC on 26th while it should have been done earlier?
I'm not sure if Managed.com passes over the cost to softwareworks because in the signup email it said to pay directly to softwareworks - maybe you should email [email protected] and let them know whats going on and see if they can help you out.

This isn't a new issue - It's happened a lot with SoftwareWorks, and it was VERY stupid of Managed.com to setup their CPanel licenses under another company run by themselves. SWW can only issue internal licenses at Managed.com, not anywhere else.
If they cannot be trusted handling sensitive data transmitted digitally, I certainly would not send a fax that could end up laying on someone's desk out in the open. The only way I would even consider providing that type of information to them is over the telephone and with the name, address, phone number and firstborn of the person I was talking to....
I don't understand why most ppl are skeptical and worried about submitting your credit card details/info. I shop online quite often buying books from amazon and softwares from unknown companies.
Yes, I do get some unauthorised charges to my card(s) but it always gets refunded(chargeback) when I call the bank and showing proof of it. If it continues for a 2-3 months, then I have very good reasons to asked the bank to block it and replace me with a new card without any incurred charges. They usually charge a nominal fee if you lodge a report to them your card was stolen/missing but if you have very good reasons, they will waive the charge.
