Wife wants a holiday - Perth or Hong Kong ?

Thinking of some time in August.

I have never been to Perth before although I lose count of the number of trips I have made to Melbourne. Some say it is nice for a slow break. Some say there is nothing there. August is what - spring time ?

Hong Kong - not my idea of a holiday place but with 2 young kids, maybe a nice hotel + Ocean Park (dolphin show and all) + great shopping for the missus.

    What do you think ?

I'm in Perth, it's a nice relaxing place
depends what your interests are, theres a few things to do here.
You might just miss some of the cold weather if you came in August..
If you come to Perth, I would suggest a few places south of Perth - Margaret River, etc are very nice.

I was going to say italy.
Patron: I'd like my free lunch please.
Cafe Manager: Free lunch? Did you read the fine print stating it was an April Fool's joke.
Patron: I read the same way I listen, I ignore the parts I don't agree with. I'm suing you for false advertising.
Cafe Owner: Is our lawyer still working pro bono?

Perths nice. Not sure if they still have the skimpy baremaids on Thursday and Friday nights (skimpy=hardly any cloths).

    Personally I would recommend Hobart.

You wont be sorry. Perth is beautiful, and Margaret River (and surrounding areas) are well worth a visit.

Come on guy, he's going with his wife and children.
Perth's nice and beautiful, but for Asian people it's way too boring. But anyways, it's a place you must visit

Ok, I am all packed and ready to leave for the airport tomorrow morning. Got my rental car waiting at the Perth airport terminal.
