    Root mail question:

When in ssh, i get the message "you have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root"

when i go there, i cant view it, its too big. Inside the folder is:

    -rw-rw---- 1 admin admin 3513 Mar 25 23:54 admin
    -rw-rw---- 1 fpweb fpweb 0 Nov 28 2002 fpweb
    -rw------- 1 root root 210363889 May 26 23:45 root
    -rw------- 1 root root 187183076 Apr 20 17:41 root.save
    -rw-rw---- 1 vhbackup vhbackup 0 Nov 28 2002 vhbackup

Are these important, or can i empty them?

    cat root | less

and then once you have viewed it all and verified none of it is important you can do.

    echo > root

And that will empty the file for you.

check the file via more , or less .
Then propably something... warning or something all the time send it to you.
Then do the echo as before say to you. no proplem even if you erase this file. the deamon will remake the file
    if is the /var/spool/mail...
