    Too many connections. Max_clients

    Hello,

I'm getting MySQL too many connections which should be a good thing... high traffic, I raised up MaxClients in httpd.conf to 3000 , server is pretty fast... but I still get the error.. is there something else I should edit? I dont have max_connections in my.cnf but doesn't MaxClients set that one automatically?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Adjusting MaxClients for apache will have no effect on your MySQL issues. Take a look at this post (a few down from this one) - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=257825

You may want to dial MaxClients back to about 1 per 2MB of RAM. Otherwise, a spike of traffic could send you swapping into oblivion.
