Does this Award mean I am good?

Ok everyone I got the Presidential Education Award, and I have been told it is an honor to get this and I was wondering ... is it really that great? If you don't believe me I will scan it...

Ok, I was bored so I went ahead and scanned it... I got the origonal (well last names scratched out) and the smaller version.

Haha... don't know, but it can't be bad.

I'm guessing it's a good thing. I would put that on my resume if I were you.

Hmm... come to think of get, it's gotta be really good. It has Pres. Bush signature on it.

I think you got it because you are able to achieve good academics despite adversity. I'm too lazy to do a search.

I don't want to knock these champions of education, but should there be an apostrophe in 'Presidents'?

If you got awarded for something you've done, not matter how small it was, then that's something great. That means you're good.

There is... it says President's, which is correctly formatted

I know there is, but an apostrophe denotes missing letters, what letters are missing from President's?

Edit: Looks like we're both right -

Not necessarily, an apostrophe can also be used in a possessive nature.

    IE:

Matt's The Best (Matt is the best)
Matt's Computer (This is a computer that belongs to Matt)

In this case, it's the President's award.

I received one some years back... I'm old so Ronald Reagan was in office at the time.

It is definitely a great academic honor and one you should be proud of. I still have my award and letter to this day.

    Congratulations!

I remember getting a president's award for fitness in PE. They gave them out to the whole 5th grade class.

I hope the original poster doesn't take this the wrong way, but isn't that just a tad far-fetched? "Recieved Presidential Education Award in Grade School" (An award which they give to a lot of students nation wide as a way of encouraging them to stay dedicated to their education in their later years of schooling) on a resume would sort of just make me chuckle when reviewing it... Though kudos to the original poster that was awarded it, any positive recognition during schooling is a great thing.
