* [CONTEST] - Need 2x banners - [Prize: $100/each!]

BANNER CONTEST - PRIZE: $100 USD / BANNER!!

    Background
We own a prepaid phonecard online shop in Sweden and we are currently rebuilding our website. In a few days our new website will go online and we will be advertising on one of Sweden's most popular sites.

    Banners
We need two (2) animated banners, one being 468x60 pixels and the other being 250x120 pixels. The banners should be either .GIF or .SWF (Flash) and must be 15 kilobytes or smaller in filesize.

    Theme & Colors
You can view our new website at http://www.sarvi.com/ringbilligt/, we would like our logo used in both banners. The website we will be advertising on is http://www.aftonbladet.se/. It would be a big plus if the banners would stand out (without flashing red and white!).

    The Idea
What we want is something professional and interesting looking that of course makes people want to visit our website. We want different countries and minute prices shown on the banners. The graphic should be related to our products (phonecards, globes, people, etc). Other than this you are free to use your own imagination.

    Prize Money
Each winner (the banners we decide to use) will get $100 USD paid through Paypal or we can also pay with creditcard if you have 2checkout, Paysystems, etc.

    Deadline
We need the banners asap! The deadline is Wednesday 26th 15:00 (3:00PM) CET (6:00AM PST, 9:00AM EST).

    Other
Submissions should be submitted as a reply to this thread or you can also email saeed [at] sarvi.com. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

    Cheers.

    Hi there Saeed,

Will this be working as a contest or will you be contracting one single person/company to do this. Either way I'm in. I'm just curious.

    * More info...

I would like to point out that we are very serious about this contest. We tried a couple of designers and they couldn't provide what we were looking for. Also, we have to turn in the banners in the next 24 hours so unfortunately we do not have time to "try" yet another designer. This is why we chose to have a contest.

The two winners will receive $100 each! However, if there are more banners we like and that we think we can use in the future we might be willing to purchase those as well for a smaller fee.

Finally I would like to add that you can add any text you want right now, when we purchase the banners we would like the .PSD or .FLA file so that we can edit the text to Swedish.

Thank you all for your interest.

    Good luck.

lol I would be able to talk that over with him. Your mad because you can't offer logos that are quality for a good price. So I think you should really quit bombing my thing. I read the reason. Yours is all different. But I know that I have my own skills and I'm not going to let you get in the way with that. So instead of letting this be a freepost. I'll put in the link to my 250 120 one. .

Ok, I have 2 mock ups in both sizes. Banners are currently animated gifs to give you an idea of the finished product (with words flying in, opacity etc), I have done it this way so I arn't waisting my time if you don't like.

The files over the size limit, but once converted to SWF they will be under 15k.

Let me know what you think, give me some further directions if you would like modifications, or the go-ahead and I will convert them into flash.

Contact me on MSN ([email protected]) or EMAIL ([email protected]) to talk further.

    Thanks,

not trying to attack you, but are you sure you will be able to reduce those to under 15k? seems like alot to squeeze into that size. Great job though.

Yes - I do not know if they will require all the countries I have chosen, so I could simply cut out some of those. keep the flash simple using vector rather than raster for the flash file will be very small. I plan to use PSD2FLA, it does a great job with vector compresion.

    And thank you.

Wow this thread has turned into a slander thread. I don't know what I did to you NFX. S:. Or maybe Webster got you on me? Probably. I'm just telling him the truth. Would you order a logo that was a cut out server with an outer glow for 80 dollars? If so then we can talk.

Ok, enough is enough! This contest is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to us so please do not turn it into anything other than what it's here for. We will review all submissions and say what we think of them, there is no need for anyone else to do that.

If you really have to continue flaming eachother, please do so in private as this is not the place.

    Thank you.

What's up, Saeed? I'm going to submit a flash banner, so don't choose without seeing mine!

    Thanks,

I read it as 9PM est, instead of am... If you will give me some time - I can design one

www.novafactor.net/banners.php is my portfolio so you can tell if it will be worth your time to wait or not.

I created this, Can easily be edited if you need it tweaked in any way, also can provide a higher quality one (and include transition frames) if you a site that will allow a higher kb

Here it is, under 15k when watermarks are removed:

    http://novafactor.net/banners/ringbill1.gif

If you request it, I will create the 2nd banner to match it.

    CONTEST CLOSED!

Thank you everyone for taking time to design banners and helping us find what we were looking for. We have found two banners (from same designer) that we like very much and he will receive the prize money $200 USD.

The winner is Sheldon from SleekBanners.com who submitted banners via email (http://www.sarvi.com/250.swf).

We saw some other banners we liked and hopefully we will contact a few of you guys in the future regarding those banners.

Thank you and have a good day.

    (Moderators, please close this thread.)
