Really depends on many factors. One question is how many domains will you register in a year? If it's less than 100 then a $8.95 account is a better deal. If you plan on registering more than 300 domains then I would say anything less than $300 and your saving money with a $6.95 account. Based on recent sales I would say anything less than $200 is a bargain.
Originally posted by snoop quite a few people seem to be moving out of enom so I would guess it is a combination of more people selling their accounts and lower demand.
I don't think so
Many ppl are moving to enom, , coz they have improved their services , and added many new features , Like hosting + Many new TLDs + Club Drop, I got a very nice domain from that Club Dropb for just 8.95 while it was having a snap on it at snapnames.com ..
also they have added many ICANN registrars under them just to improve their Club Drop
Also they don't block countries Ips like Godaddy , they may block Credit Cards from some countries , but they don't block domains management
eNom very discounted reseller / retail accounts (Click here )
Rare 2 , 3 char / letter domains for sale ( Click here )
Originally posted by snoop so why have the $6.95 reseller accounts halved in value then? something must be effecting demand/supply for selling prices to fall by this much.
saturated market/supply and demand. Why did I get $6k off my recent auto purchase? The dealer needed to move the vehicle. These people are dropping prices because they have old sub-accounts that they want to get rid of. If the direction was heading south as you said then the number of eNom registrations would have drastically dropped. The biggest change was GD's jump in market share due to the recent promo.
That text is true. You cannot get an ETP account from anyone except eNom. There have been some folks on eBay and even here in the past month that got into trouble for illegal activity concerning 6.95 accounts.
